Jack was born on August 12, 2012. He was 7 weeks early and weighed 3lb 1oz. We were at Fletcher Allen for 4 days before he was born. He wasn’t growing/moving like he should have been. They were Trying to decide whether we would go home or have him early. Luckily during that time I was getting steroid injections because on the 4th day they realized I had HELLP syndrome and we needed an emergency c section. He came out screaming and needed no intervention. He just was small and needed help growing. We spent 3 weeks at RMHC. They were amazing from day 1. From the cozy room, the delicious meals, rides to the hospital. They made an otherwise difficult situation much easier. My older son loved to go to the “McDonald house” to play with the toys while we were staying there. We made lasting relationships with other parents that were going through the same things. RMHC is such a lifesaver, we will be forever grateful.
